Roof Coatings

A Protective Coatings main job is to stop leakage and extend the life of existing membranes. Here’s a little breakdown of the roof coatings that we regularly work with.

White Silicon Coatings:

Silicone White Roof Coating is a premium, 100% silicone, moisture-cure coating designed to reflect the sun’s heat and UV rays as well as protect many types of roofs.

White Silicon Coating is specially designed to maintain maximum reflectivity of heat and UV rays as it ages.

Its moisture-cure chemistry creates a very aggressive chemical bond with the roof, which provides permanent ponding water resistance, extreme durability, and superior capabilities of sealing and protection.

Aluminum Coatings:

Aluminum oxide is a hard, durable, weather-resistant substance that protects the base metal. The coating may be colored by dyeing or may exhibit bronze tones through diffraction phenomena produced by the coating.  The coating grows from the base aluminum metal by this electrochemical process.

Aluminum roof coating is an ultra-premium fibered aluminum roof coating that forms a shiny, tough, reflective surface. It can decrease heating and air conditioning costs and keeps the inside temperature of a building up to 20°F cooler in summer.

Black Liquid Tar Coatings:

Black  Liquid Tar Coating is a liquid applied, asphalt based coating. It is designed to penetrate and seal worn roof surfaces, foundation block walls, above or below grade and other masonry roof surfaces. Great for revitalizing older roofs and making them look like new!

EPDM Rubber:

EPDM rubber (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber) is a type of synthetic rubber that is used in roofing frequently. EPDM can be formulated to be resistant to temperatures as high as 150°C, and, properly formulated, can be used outside for many years or decades without degradation.

EPDM has good low temperature properties, with elastic properties to temperatures as low as -40°C depending on the grade and the formulation.
